Grandview Retirement Center Ministry

On the third Saturday of each month, the members of Clear Springs Baptist Church meet together with an average of twenty of the residents Grandview Retirement Center for a time of singing, preaching, and fellowship. It all begins at 10:00 a.m. and generally goes till about 11:00 a.m. We start out with the singing of good old hymns. After five or six hymns, the children of Clear Springs Baptist Church give out some type of snack to the elderly people. The snacks are different each month and range from muffins and bread to cake and cookies. Once all the snacks are gone, Pastor Brown gives a short devotional. For the final songs, requests are taken. Once the service is done, everyone has a good time talking with the elderly. Each month everyone receives a blessing, both the members of Clear Springs Baptist Church and the elderly at Grandview Retirement Center.
