Operation Vitalize

The following are pieces pieces published in the Opinion section of the Pensacola News Journal relating to Operation Vitalize and the efforts of believers as we contend against the wicked at one of Pensacola's two abortions clinics.

It's what you see

A previous writer ("Community standards," Letters, Jan. 21) admits that the graphic anti-abortion pictures being displayed depict babies. Her example of real people being displayed in the same fashion supports her acknowledgement that these are babies. That is exactly why they use those pictures. Anything less makes them less human. That is the important point in this argument.

By the way, almost 28 years ago a doctor recommended my wife to go through an abortion because of some "possible" abnormalities that could result in some birth defects.

I am glad to say that we changed doctors, to Dr. Pyle, and he was so encouraging to us and one of the finest doctors we have ever met. My wife had our baby. He graduated from Northview High School with honors, graduated from Auburn University, and is now flying for the Navy and doing his duty protecting us, in the Persian Gulf.

I thank God every day for our son, and his brother and sister.

Is It Murder or Convenience?

There is something in our society that puzzles me and makes me wonder who decides when an innocent person’s death is murder or not. The puzzlement comes from two situations deemed "diametrically opposed."

First, if a woman is pregnant and is one day assaulted, which in turn leads to the death of her unborn child, the suspect in the crime can be charged with murder. "And rightly so," people agree!

Then, however, there is a woman who has recently found out she is pregnant. Realizing she did not "plan" to have a baby and cannot be inconvenienced by the child, she decides to eliminate the problem. Early one morning, she drives to a local "clinic" where the unborn child is savagely ripped to pieces and is disposed of as if he was trash. In this circumstance no one is convicted of murder. Why? Was not the same innocent person slain in both situations?

The answer is quite simple: If a wanted child is killed it is called murder; however, if an unwanted child is killed it is called convenience. Isn’t that a double standard?

Protect and Serve?

My wife and I went down to participate in the protest last Friday at the abortion clinic on 9th Ave. We took our seven children with us. Yes, a few of the signs are graphic, but it is harder to explain the atrocity of why people would do this. More questions arose. First, why would a mother willingly let them do this to her baby? Won’t they regret it? Second, why would a doctor do that to a baby? Why does the abortionist come all the way from New Jersey? Aren’t doctors supposed to help babies? Third, why are the police helping them? We clearly teach our children that the police help people and make them obey rules, to keep us safe. They understand the police presence during the protest, but why does the on-duty Officer Santiago, who is to remain neutral, help the abortion clinic staff? Isn’t he breaking the rules? Hmm…we have video of him delivering keys, moving parking cones for clients to park, and even stopping traffic on 9th Ave. in order for another client to pull in. Is this neutral? Klan Parenthood

I was shocked to find that Margaret Sanger, the founder of The American Birth Control League (now Planned Parenthood), was a well-documented racist. The League's motto? "To Create a Race of Thoroughbreds." Her autobiography tells of speaking to a KKK meeting, whom she called a "good group." The ABCL targeted blacks and other ethnic groups for abortions, calling them "the most far-reaching peril in the future of civilization." In 1942, after Hitler's horrors discredited outright eugenics (killing the "unfit" in order to breed a "master" race), the ABCL changed its name to Planned Parenthood. But they still have the same agenda, and have never disavowed Margaret or her racism.
Consider that 13% of American women are black, but have 35% of the abortions. Every four days, more blacks are aborted than the Klan has lynched in the last 150 years! Planned Parenthood operates the largest chain of abortion clinics in the United States and almost 80% of them are in minority neighborhoods. Think about it. In the last 30 years, more than twice as many African-Americans have died from abortion than from AIDS, accidents, violent crimes, cancer, and heart disease combined. As Americans, we should stand against this atrocity.
